Reverse Starts & Ratings for All! 2012 Skippers Meeting Recap

Have you ever thought about racing but been worried that those wild looking starts would be too much for you? Fear not! This year, the first series of SHSC races will use a reverse start format. We’ll take your handicap into account and give you your very own start time. No more ducking boats big and small – your only goal will be to start at the right time and then beat everyone else to the finish.

We hope you come out and join us!

Oh and if you don’t have a rating – no worries there either. We can get one for you. Just send Race Captain Rick your boat details and your best argument for a big number and he’ll work something out.

SHSC Winter Brunch & Meeting

Wild Currant on 1st Street in Olde Town, St. Helens, will host a

champagne brunch buffet for members of the St Helens Sailing Club

on Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM.

The cost will be $15.00 per person with mimosa and gratuity included.

There will be a short business meeting to:

Discuss the future of our club

Nominate and elect new officers

Update current roster information

Collect dues for 2012 membership

This will be an opportunity for all SHSC members to have a

voice in the direction of the club, provide ideas for future activities,

and gain a general consensus of how a new board should proceed.

Come celebrate the end of the season with St. Helens Sailing Club!

The Club will provide barbecued German Sausage and cold beverages for the Saturday evening potluck. So please bring your favorite German dish or dessert and a box of FIREWOOD and we’ll supply the rest.

There will also be a Sunday Brunch potluck! If you like, please bring juice, fruit, apple strudel (hint) or a hot dish. See you there!
