Results, Summer Series Race 2

If anyone has photos, please send them my way and I’ll post them for you!

From our esteemed Race Captain, Bob Barnes:
Conditions were near perfect for racing.  Wind speed was characterized at “lots”, and the river was “lumpy”.  Milo, celebrating his birthday, took his big boat & large party of well wishers and observers to the red-green can to set up the start line.   A number of racing boats used to a north dock start, failed to spot the Committee Boat downstream and milled about the area of the north dock puzzled by the absence of a committee until well beyond start time.  Milo is a man of charity, who, wishing to avoid a lynching, delayed the start until the racers were assembled in the start area.  An open river start was fun.  There was such a sense of space and freedom to maneuver.
Our thanks to Milo and his crowd for an excellent race.
The race conditions were prime for short masted, well ballasted boats, as Black Diamond demonstrated by spanking everyone but Raven.  By-the-by, did you notice that Raven was crewed by just two people?  Ah well, there is always next time.

Does anyone know the whereabouts of the Sailing Club’s Committee Stop-Watch?  It has gone missing from the Committee’s equipment.
